Syrah signs new Collective Labour Agreement in Mozambique

Syrah’s Mozambique subsidiary, Twigg Exploration and Mining Limitada (“Twigg”), is pleased to announce the signing of the new Collective Labour Agreement (“CLA”) for the period 2025–2028, the result of a constructive and collaborative process between the Company and the Internal Union Committee, which began in 2025 and concluded with its signing on April 27, 2026.

The official signing ceremony took place at the Balama mine site and was attended by Twigg management, representatives of the Internal Union, the Provincial Union (“SINTICIM”) and the Provincial Labour Department.

At the ceremony, Twigg’s Acting General Manager, Mr Sam Litson, thanked all those involved for their commitment, patience and resilience throughout the negotiations, stressing that the consensus reached represents an important step towards strengthening labour relations. He also highlighted that the agreement is an important instrument to promote balance, stability and cooperation in the workplace.

Mr Amisse Rachide, Secretary of the Internal Union Committee, expressed his appreciation for the involvement of all parties and emphasized the positive work made to preserve strong relations, cohesion, and a spirit of harmony throughout the whole negotiation process.

Unanimously, the participants considered the moment a significant milestone, celebrated with satisfaction by all parties involved.

After the ceremony, the leadership met with the employees present on site, sharing a message of thanks and recognition for the orderly and collaborative spirit demonstrated throughout the process. The meeting also included a speech in the local language (Macua), delivered by Amisse Rachide, Secretary of the Internal Union Committee, reinforcing inclusion and closeness with the employees.
