Syrah maintained its international management system certifications at its operating sites in 2026. Independent audits at both sites confirmed that they continue to meet globally recognised standards for occupational health and safety, environmental management and quality.
In March 2026, the Balama Graphite Operation in Mozambique completed an audit under ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management Systems) as part of its 2026 certification cycle. The audit assessed the effectiveness of Balama's management systems, including their conformity with ISO requirements, continued improvement and adaptation to change. Balama maintained both certifications. Balama was first certified under both standards in 2021. The certifications reflect its ability to operate to global standards and to maintain safe, sustainable and responsible practices. They complement Balama's IRMA-50 achievement level under the Initiative for Responsible Mining Assurance.
In July 2026, the Vidalia Active Anode Material Facility in the US completed an audit under ISO 9001 (Quality Management Systems) as part of its 2026 certification cycle. The audit covered leadership, planning, production, purchasing, performance evaluation and management review. Vidalia has held ISO 9001 certification since 2021. The ISO framework also supports continuous improvement across other areas of the operation, including safety and sustainability, through its focus on risk management and process efficiency.
These certifications demonstrate the strength of the management systems underpinning Syrah's vertically integrated supply chain, from natural graphite production at Balama to active anode material production at Vidalia. They give customers, investors, host communities and other stakeholders independent assurance that Syrah's operations are managed against leading international standards.
